Disclosure and Privacy

Specyfy Mold is an independent referral service. We do not perform mold inspection, testing or remediation work ourselves, and we are not a contractor. What you send through this site is passed to an independent service provider so that they can reply to you. Licensing and certification requirements for mold work differ by state and by city.

What you send through the form on this site — your answers, your ZIP code, your name and your phone number — is passed to an independent provider so that they can get in touch about it. We do not sell it on to anyone else.

The phone number is the only way we ask to reach you, and by sending the form you agree that an independent provider may call or text you about this request. You choose which of those you would rather have.

One more thing worth stating plainly: when you type a ZIP code, your browser asks a public postcode service, api.zippopotam.us, which town it belongs to, so the form can show it back to you. Nothing else about you goes with that request, and if the service does not answer, the form still works.

Being listed or routed to does not mean we have vetted, certified or endorsed a provider. Licensing and certification requirements for mold work differ by state and by city, and verifying a provider’s licence is worth doing yourself.

Nothing on this site is medical advice. For health questions about mold exposure, talk to a doctor. For general federal information, see EPA — Mold.
