How It Works
You answer a few questions and leave a number. A specialist who does mold work where you live calls you back, already knowing what you answered. The page below sets out exactly how that works, how we are paid for it, and what we deliberately leave off this site.
What happens after you send it
- You answer five short questions — which room, how large an area, whether water is still getting in, how long it has been there, and whether the property is yours.
- You leave a ZIP code, a name and a phone number, and say whether you would rather be called, texted or reached on WhatsApp.
- The ZIP code decides who gets it. A specialist who works in that area contacts you the way you asked, with your answers already in front of them.
- Scope, schedule and price are between you and that provider. You are free to get a second estimate, and on a job of any size you should.
How we are paid
Providers and partner networks pay us for the introductions. You pay us nothing, and what you pay a provider is not affected by whether you found them here.
What we publish, and what we leave out
No reviews or star ratings, because we do not collect any. No certification badges, because we are not certified. No "our technicians" photography, because they are not ours. No city-level prices, because we have no sourced data behind them. Where we have no data, the section is simply not on the page.
Who runs this site
Specyfy Mold is a small independent operation, not a company with offices and a van fleet. It is run by the same people who run Specyfy, a contractor-matching service. There is no legal entity behind this site yet, and we would rather say so than invent one.
Providers pay us when we pass them a job. You never pay us anything, and we do not sell the details you send through the form to anyone beyond the provider who gets your job. Questions, corrections, or a request to delete what you sent us: [email protected].
Tell us what you are looking at
Five short questions, then your number. You go into that call knowing what the work should cost, and the specialist goes into it knowing what you are looking at.
- The call comes from the person who would do the work, not from a dispatcher
- They already know what you answered, so you are not starting over
- You decide after that call. Nothing is booked by sending this.
